Still cant resolve this. I have noticed on lots of occasions the shutdown occurs moments after another device (ie phone/tv) joins the network. I cannot re-create it so I'm thinking the NVR but have to do something at the same time. Any clues???

For the record my NVR is connected via a talktalk Sagemcom-FAST5364 router.

Hi Paul. Did you change the power supply or just the lead? I have DS 2cd 2385 g1-i cameras. With 3 connected the nvr works absolutely fine but with 4 connected it shutsdown. I notice the power supply gets really warm with all 4 connected. Also do you have any powerline adapters in the house...

I have the same issue with my DS-7604NI-K1/4P(B). have tried all the above and nothing stops the abnormal shutdown. The NVR has been back to Hikvision who say it is working correctly. The shutdown's stop when I disconnect the network cable. Another thing I notice is it doesn't happen at night...
