I managed to download loclaservicecomponents.zip OK using a VPN and unzipped it. What came out was 3 separate exe files as pet attached image. Sorry to be a pain but may I ask where I go from here? Do I execute them all?

What I find difficult to understand is that all the Hikvision cameras we have work perfectly on Edge and Chrome. It is only the DS-2CD2646G2-IZS that is playing up. Hopefully there will be a firmware update soon that will fix it.

We have had a DS-2CD2646G2-IZS on the network for a couple of years. Every few months it will fail completely with zero output. The only way to get it functioning is to do a factory reset and enter all the settings again. When it failed last week, we did a reset and imported the last working...

OK, did the firmware upgrade and the Firmware Version Property is now C-R-G1-0. I then found another switch in Meta Data Settings to turn on "Smart Event". Now it is giving ability to set many rules. Many thanks!

Mystery solved! It appears that the latest firmware version has a less than intuitive way into the "Smart" settings. It is VCA -> 2 Set Application -> Smart Event. Cunning, these Chinese but all's well that ends with a solution.

Instability in the firmware is suspected again as we are unable again to access the "smart event" settings even though the system is set to "Expert" mode. Quite why this should keep disappearing is beyond me. See image.

Update... Decided to to do a hard reset, followed by an update to the latest firmware. Then used SADP to change the IP to my subnet. At first, the menu options would not show smart event settings but after an hour of tinkering and for no apparent reason at all , the smart event options of line...

Yes the Hik camera was connected to the POE port for the last 3 years before being deleted and disconnected. No updates were carried out on the camera whilst disconnected. The soft reset and updates were carried out when it was found there was a issue with the intrusion/ line crossing triggers...
