Previously the hik global website contained a link to the .820 firmware which worked for the 2xxx models. They updated website since and only have link to the G3 (C) firmware.

Well yes. Despite the release notes listing the 2 series as well. But the us website originally listed this version against a 2027 cam. Compared the downloads and they are different files. The file from the US website installs with no error on my 2047.
