I have a DS-7616NXI-I2/16P/S NVR with the latest v5.04.070 build 250828 firmware. It's recording 9 * 4k cameras (mix of Hikvision and Annke) which are connected to a PoE HP/Aruba switch, not the built-in PoE ports. I also run Frigate which takes main and substream feeds from each camera.
This is largely working ok apart from intermittent "Too many unprocessed recording segments" error on Frigate that I've narrowed down to changes that the NVR makes to the feed parameters at random times.
I've tested this by connecting the cameras to the NVR via the ONVIF protocol and the errors stop, Frigate is 100% stable but I lose human/vehicle detection through the Hik-connect App.
I've seen several fixes for this by simply creating a new user on each camera with Operator permissions and setting the NVR to use this user's credentials when connecting to the camera over the Hikvision protocol.
My problem is, when I change the credentials on the NVR, the camera changes to "Offline". It seems I cannot connect to a camera with theHikvision protocol without using the Admin account of the camera. I've even logged into the web page of the camera to ensure the new Operator user account is operational.
Is there any other way of connecting to a Hikvision camera so that Human/Vehicle detection works but the NVR is unable to change the camera's stream parameters?
