DS-PWA96-M2H-WE configuration problem

hi ,

I just set up my new DS-PWA96-M2H-WE.
and i face a problem on configuring one PIR movement detector.
I set 2 zones/partitions: TOTAL and NIGHT
the PIR detector is associated to the 2 zones (TOTAL and NIGHT), it is an entrance area, to access the keyboard tu unarm the alarm.
type of area : temporised area
arming should be OR and not AND and it looks this cannot be changed when 2 areas are associated to the detector.
so when i activate NIGHT or TOTAL, this sensor is not working, it only works when TOTAL and NIGHT are armed...this leads the partition/area useless.
because i don't want to have TOTAL armed when i'am sleeping in the house (should be NIGHT).

I don't know if there is another option to make it work like this or if i have to change my way of configuring the alarm.
this setup looks quite standard , as most of the people have probably something like this.

I need few clarifications

Did you set 2 zones or 2 partitions or 1 zone per partition?

When you reffer to TOTAL and NIGHT do you mean away arm and stay arm?

Can you share PIR configuration?

What is desired outcome again, can you please clarify better?

sorry for the confusing explanation.
to explain my problem i simplified the situation but in real i have

3 partitions:
- TOTAL
- NIGHT
- STUDIO

they are :
8 wired zones
12 radio zones (siren, keyboards, smoke detectector, water leak...etc)

I do not use away arm and stay arm (cannot see any setting to assign this under the iphone app), instead i was doing 2 partitions TOTAL and NIGHT.
but you tickled my mind as this might be a solution for maybe doing something similar than TOTAL and NIGHT partitions.

Desired outcome is:
have 2 temporised entry zone (because they are 2 access doors with 2 keyboards) when TOTAL OR NIGHT .
OR parameter is not available on detector settings when 2 PARTITION + temporised are assigned to it.
ideally it would even be better that the entry zone is temporised when TOTAL, and instant when NIGHT (but it is not so important as i guess it is probbly impossible to set like this with a same detector in one Zone).

additional question:
- is it possible to set a specific code to arm/unarm only one Partition?
- is it possible to assign button combination on the KeyFob DS PKF1-WE
-are they more configuration options on the Web interface of HIK PRO - as i could not use it becos i have an apple mac (got an error on the web page bco i use a mac).

The output you need is solved by pressing Away Arm on keyfob, and assigning Key I to do StayArm

So you can select zone which will be bypassed by StayArm. It will act as indoor zone and it will not be triggered. If AwayArm then it will be triggered.

thanks but this is not solving my issue:
1- on the Keyfob settings there is no away arm option ! that's funny
2- if i arm TOTAL or NIGHT, the entrance motion detector is never working becos of AND setting, below find my settings:
Linked area= TOTAL , NIGHT
Arm mode= AND (here i would need OR but it is not allowed due to delay zone)
Zone Type= delay Zone

this detector only work when i arm All (NIGHT + TOTAL + STUDIO) , which makes useless the creation of partitions.

I cannot find how to set attribution for AWAYARM and STAYARM.

this is a mysterious gear :?

1. awayArm is default arm icon on keyfob, there is no stayarm by default. and you add that via configuration

2. It seems its firmware fault. Currently i dont have wired central but it works the same. As this one can be expanded with wired inputs.

What firmware are you on? Im on 1.2.9


UPDATE: Yes now i see your problem, same here. Delay does not allow OR, now i finally understood. I will pass problem to my hikvision contacts.

happy that you could see my issue.
I guess I've solved my thing

the idea of TOTAL / NIGHT partition is a bad idea
I had to use STAYARM and AWAYARM...but this button is not showing up under the iphone app.
so I finally could use the WEB HIK pro, and there it is:
there is a option STAY ARM DESACTIVATION under the motion detector parameter, this makes it inactive in STAY arm mode.

ask you HIK friends why it is not possible to parameter more thing on the keyfob button.. for ex: arming a specific partition

Its not because its not possible to do it, its so rare that people would use in such way that feedback they receive is basicly nonexistent, so they focus on other stuff.

When it comes to compley scenarios, for example banks, high corporations, they will not use hik anyway, and will go with grade 3 alarms. Usually most support such capabilities.

HIk is progressing, if you ever came up on their first ax hub few years back, you could see how much progress they have done. Ofc they cant please everyone, and there will always be something overlooked, or simply never crossed somebody mind overthere.


The new ax pro 2 will be launching at the end of the year, so i believe current ones will be eol within year or 2. Thats my best guess.

Since ax pro had a huge step up compares to its predocesor ax hub, i believe ax pro 2 will have same step up.

We will see
