Resetting Genie IP cameras?

Hi,

I bought some second hand cameras model: genie woip4ebaf5 and cant set up as they need resetting any body know how to reset them I have opened them and cant see a reset button. SADP not picking them up and have found IP with wireshark password unknown.

Genie seem to have their own version of an SADP type tool called WishIP, maybe give that a try?

Hi thanks was able to reset the cameras with IP Tool " Software Search - Genie Products " but still have an issue that the default username (admin) and password (123456) are not working,

Genie tech support advised they only use admin / admin and admin / 123456

will keep looking to invested now

Hi Jibs,

Not sure if you're sorted or not, but I have a few of these cameras myself (well... 2 now, unfortunately had to sacrifice one) and I was able to find the password location in the flash memory chip. To find it you'd have to remove the chip and read it manually with something like a CH341 programmer.

I'm sure there's other ways but this is what I had to do to get access.
